The Department of Community Physiotherapy, MGMIOP organized a community visit to Hiware Bazar village in Ahmednagar district on 04th April 2024.

Recognized as one of the best model villages in India, Hiware Bazar's success story has captured attention globally, featuring in prestigious platforms like IAS training academies, World Bank, The Better India, and Down to Earth. Under the dynamic leadership of Mr. Popatrao B Pawar, Hiware Bazar had emerged as a beacon of sustainable development and community resilience.

This one-day educational excursion was tailored for final year B.P.Th. students and 2nd-year Community Physiotherapy MPT students, focusing on Observing first-hand the innovative practices and robust infrastructure that drove Hiware Bazar's success. Engaging in an inspirational dialogue with Shri. PopatraoBaguji Pawar, delving into the secrets behind the village's triumphs.
Exploring sustainable strategies for environmental conservation, economic resilience, and social cohesion. Gaining insights into the healthcare delivery system through a visit to the village's sub-centre or PHC. Interacting with local educators to learn about the values instilled in the village's youth, integrating community physiotherapy concepts. Getting briefed on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within the context of Hiware Bazar, aligning with the principles of community physiotherapy.

It was an incredible opportunity to witness sustainable development in action! We embarked on a journey of learning and inspiration together, integrating the principles of community physiotherapy with sustainable development goals.
